Puppy Head Start Program

LukEli's Puppy Head Start Program for dogs and puppies under 1 year of age. This 6 week long program includes 6 weeks of In Kennel Training at our facility followed by a private lesson to transfer all of your dogs newly learned skills to you.

Our Puppy Head Start Program is designed to target problem behaviors before they become a real issue. Behaviors such as nipping, play biting, jumping up, or destructive chewing can lead to more serious issues in adulthood. This program gets your puppy on the right track and also focuses on early socialization of pups to prevent fear, anxiety and other aggression issues as adult.

During your puppies stay with us they will be introduced to cues such as sit/stay, down/stay, loose leash walking, recall, as well as potty training, housetraining and crate training.

The cost of this 6 Week Program is $2,370. All puppies must receive their first 2 rounds of vaccinations before attending.

Treibball sometimes referred to as  "Urban Herding"

This German originated sport is fairly new to the US. It is designed to take advantage of dogs, particularly herding breeds, innate ability to herd objects. Herding breeds like Corgis, Australian Shepherds, and German Shepherds, many times end up "herding" things they shouldn't like cars and children.

Consider signing your herding dog up for a Treibball class, put their active bodies and high drive brains to work in a game that is stimulating and fun for all involved.

*At this time Treibball is only offered in private lesson formats.

K-9 Agility Training

Agility Training with LukEli introduces dogs to the basics of agility from jumps and A-frames to more advanced obstacles like cat walks and teeter totters depending on each specific dogs ability and confidence.

This is not only a great way to strengthen your dog physically but to also enhance the relationship between dog and owner.

Whether  you are interested in eventually competing or just want to have fun with your dog, agility exercises are very beneficial for any and every dog.

Nosework/Scent Discrimination

Inspired by working detection dogs, K9 nosework is the fun search and scenting activity for virtually all dogs and people.

This easy to learn activity and sport builds confidence and focus in many dogs, and provides a safe way to keep dogs fit and healthy through mental and physical exercise.

Nosework starts with getting your dog excited about using his/her nose to seek out a favorite toy or treat reward hidden in one of several boxes, expanding the game to entire rooms, exterior areas, and vehicles. as your dog grows more confident with his nose, target odors are introduced and completion skills are taught.

Prepare for a lifetime of fun with your dog and nosework.

Nosework, Agility, Treibball, Other Dog Sports

All three of these sports are great ideas for the owner who wants to have fun with their dog!

They are a great way to both physically and mentally stimulate your dog while offering a fun energetic exercise for their owners. All of these exercises offer an outlet for the over-active dog to expend his energy in an environment that strengthens the bond between dog and owner.

Other Dog Training Sports/Doggie Gymnastics

There are many other dog training sports to choose from. One of the more fun activities do participate in with your dog is something we like to call Doggie Gymnastics.

Dog Gymanstics may not be an official dog sport, but it's alot of fun for you and your dog!!

We teach dogs to do all kinds of stuff, from balancing on an exercise ball to walking a "handstand" on their front legs. Anything you can think of that your dog can safely and physically do, we can teach.

You'll learn to identify objects in the environment you can use as an interactive learning tool for dog training. Make your daily walks more fun for you both while giving your dog a workout for their body and mind.
